Renewed at the Chamber of Commerce - Legality Protocol
There is also the Fda-smart app, among the tools made available by the National Register of Environmental Managers, which collects the information of 161 thousand micro, small, medium-sized, and multinational companies that transport daily municipal waste, special non-hazardous waste, hazardous waste, and deal with the remediation of contaminated sites and asbestos-containing goods.
An app that makes it possible, simply by photographing the license plate of the vehicle on the road, without stopping it, to check the legality of the waste transport vehicle and the permits issued to the owner company.
That's one of the points of the Memorandum of Understanding on environmental legality and safety, renewed today in Genoa, signed between the Register of Environmental Managers, the Genoa Chamber of Commerce, law enforcement agencies and administrations that have jurisdiction over the environment.
- The signatories will have direct access to the database for controls and investigations of waste transport permits with the indication of individual vehicles, and marketing. "This is all information that will zero out the time for controls," explains Danile Gizzi, president of the National Register of Environmental Managers. "It is important for law enforcement, but also for the market and businesses that operate regularly. The goal is to de-pollute the market from companies that operate illegally."
- The database, managed by the chambers of commerce, contains up-to-date information on more than 7,000 registered businesses in Liguria and about 30,000 authorized vehicles. "Three years after the first agreement, we want to continue the action of simplifying and digitizing control activities in order to combat offenses," stresses Genoa Chamber of Commerce President Luigi Attanasio.
To date, there are about 600 control body facilities nationwide that have signed the protocol and 975 enabled users, and as of June 15 there will be a further step forward, whereby roadside checks can be carried out electronically through the display of a QR code. (ANSA).
